"In the spring of 2003, three young filmmakers traveled to Africa in search of a story. What started out as a filmmaking adventure transformed into much more when these boys from Southern California discovered a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them, a tragedy where children are both the weapons and the victims.
After returning to the States, they created the documentary "Invisible Children: Rough Cut," a film that exposes the tragic realities of northern Uganda.s night commuters and child soldiers.
The film was originally shown to friends and family, but has now been seen by millions of people. The overwhelming response has been, "How can I help?" To answer this question, the non-profit Invisible Children, Inc. was created, giving compassionate individuals an effective way to respond to the situation."

This has truly inspired me. As we sit here in the comfort of our own homes, with our cell phones, our laptops, our education and our families, we neglect to remember those children who have been forced out of their homes, away from their families, and are trained to kill. To kill and fight in a war that seemingly will never end...without your help. If three young men could start this campaign...I think millions can help to bring the Ugandan children home.
Please do what you can. They're not asking for money, they're asking for your help. Tell a friend, a family member, a neighbor. Spread the word.
So far, I have helped donate $30 (profits on merch goes to the building of schools and materials in Uganda) and once my ordered DVD arrives, my roommates and I are going to contact our RA to try and set up a screening on our floor. I am in the process of drawing a child soldier (hopefully it'll turn out okay) to post on Deviant Art, and Myspace, to spread the word.
Just do what you can, with what you have. Every little bit makes a difference. If you have even gotten this far, thank you for taking the time out to read this. I greatly appreciate it.
